OOC Information

This application is for any character who is NOT a part of the ATLA/LoK series.

IC Information

Name: Yuri Lowell
Age: 21
Canon: Tales of Vesperia
Canon Point: N/A
Physical Description: Yuri, Repede
Canon Abilities: N/A
Companion: Repede, his dog.

Personality:
At first glance, Yuri seems to be very cynical, sarcastic, even aloof and selfish. But Yuri is like an onion, in that he has layers. It just takes a matter of getting to know him to peel away those layers.

While outwardly, he doesn't seem to care all that much about anything, he's actually a deeply empathetic guy. He can't stand to see others suffering around him, and always has to do something about it. Even if it means making a personal sacrifice in order to do so. He believes in justice, but isn't the type to change the larger picture, such as government. Instead, he prefers to help with the smaller more immediate problems that are right there in front of him. After seeing the abuse the poor folks in the Lower Ring took at the hands of the Earth Queen and her government, Yuri has absolutely no respect for nobles or really anyone in higher power. He'll take the side of an average person before that of a wealthy or affluenced individual. In that way, he can sort of sympathize with groups like the Red Lotus and the Equalists. But he doesn't particularly care for their methods as a lot of innocent people have suffered as a result of their extremeism. Though he certainly had no qualms with Zaheer taking out the Earth Queen. It was about time someone did it, actually. In fact, Yuri is not above dirtying his own hands if it means that justice will be served. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do. He's not afraid to take matters into his own hands, and will usually do so alone. Taking burdens onto his own shoulders and going lone wolf is what he tends to do. He just prefers doing it alone, because that way, nobody else has to get hurt.

When Yuri does a good deed for someone else, he will often just shrug if off or decline any sort of reward. He does not like the limelight and sees no need for being rewarded for doing the right thing. Even if it is morally questionable. Despite being a rather unlikely and reluctant hero type of guy, trouble tends to follow him wherever he goes. It's said that he has really bad luck. He'll just be somewhere, minding his own business, and a problem will arise that he just can't ignore. Cause what is living a normal life for him? There is no such thing. Being pulled into Republic City by the Spirit World will just be another example of that. What is his life. Not only that, but he's also reckless. Even if it means going head on into danger to accomplish whatever goal it is, like taking on the Dai Li, he'll do it. And he won't care about the consequences. He's learned to get comfortable in prison cells by now. They're not so bad once you get used to it!

Once he gets to know someone a little bit, Yuri is actually pretty friendly and enjoys teasing people he likes. This often starts by giving them a nickname, especially if their name is too long for his liking. Yes, he does have a bit of a lazy streak. While he will jump at the chance to fight, because he's pretty obsessed with fighting, he will drag his feet when it comes to menial labor. It will also likely be accompanied with some sighing, complaining, or finding a way to weasel out of it. He also doesn't like being told what to do, and depending on who you are, can be pretty obstinate about it. When it comes to someone he doesn't like, sarcasm and snark are his weapons before he draws his sword. Despite his problems with government, Yuri will usually follow the law so long as its convenient. Only breaking it when he sees the need to. As far as feelings go, he's not exactly keen on showing what he truly feels about something. If he's worried, angry, or frustrated, he will often hide it behind a smile or just pretend not to care. The reason for this is to protect those around him as well as himself. Usually only those that know him really well can tell when he's truly bothered by something.

Yuri is a man of many talents. He's quite intelligent, but not at all book smart. He has no interest in books and doesn't like reading. He's more a man of action! Because of that, he never did well in school, and only has a very basic education. He can read and write, but only on a low level. Instead his intelligence comes in the form of street smarts and being very observant. Due to being poor, he was never able to learn swordsmanship under a master, so he taught himself and developed his own style. A style that he's very good at. Which he perfected while he was in the military after recieving training there, combining it with martial arts. Yuri is a lightweight, and as such is very quick, agile, but can be sent flying with a heavy blow. Still he's powerful, and combines his swordmanship style with kicks and punches. He can even go head to head with benders. Despite being a nonbender, he isn't about to let that be a disadvantage for him. He is also able to use smaller axes, though they tend to slow him down but make his blows more powerful. When it comes to his swordsmanship, he's also a bit of a show off. While performing his moves he'll often flip his blade in the air and catch it again, or even switch hands to get a better angle. He's truly ambidextrous and can use either hand just as well as the other.

When it comes to daily life, Yuri has to take care of himself and Repede. In Ba Sing Se, a lady who runs an inn gave him a room to live in, and also taught him how to cook. While he claims not to really like or dislike cooking, he's surprisingly talented at it. As far as keeping a normal job, he doesn't. Yuri tends to take on small odd jobs here and there to earn a little cash. He really has no interest in getting rich or anything, and prefers to live in the poorer sections of town anyway. That's what he's always known after all, and is able to make it there just fine anyway. Besides, its hard to look out for the little guys if he's not among them. Of course that also has nothing to do with the fact that nobody really wants to hire a criminal. Cough. Yuri is actually also pretty good with kids. He likes them, and doesn't mind looking after them or entertaining them. To many of the kids in his section of the Lower Ring, he acts like a big brother to them.

Perhaps one of Yuri's most infamous quirks is how he presents himself in the way that he looks. He's very casual. Not exactly sloppy, but he dresses in a way that makes him comfortable. The way he lives is sloppy though, as he tends to be kind of messy. Yuri likes to wear clothes that are easy to move in, to accomodate his love for fighting. Not to mention he always has his shirt open. Despite that, he keeps his hair long. With his boyish, almost feminine features, he's often mistaken for a girl. Though he's quite secure in his masculinity and doesn't take it personally. Although, it can get annoying sometimes. Though his gender is made quite clear when he speaks, as he has a distinctly masculine voice.

OU/AU: AU

History:
Orphaned as a baby, Yuri doesn't remember anything about his parents. The only life he ever knew growing up was living in the Lower Ring of Ba Sing Se. Several of the residents there took him in and raised him communally like he was their own, and as a result, developed a strong bond with the people who lived there. Poverty was a way of life for Yuri, and always has been. He grew up under the corrupt rule of the Earth Queen and the Dai Li, and witnessed many injustices at the hands of the government. Especially the taxing of the poor people of the Lower Ring. As he grew up, Yuri learned to fight with a sword. He was never very good in school, and instead took to developing his own style of swordmanship. Being born a nonbender, his sword was what he used to protect himself and those around him.

As he grew older, Yuri was told that he needed to get a respectable job. So he decided to join the military, and only barely made it in due to his poor education. Though the recruiters recognized his skill with the sword and made him a foot soldier in the army. He was then posted at a remote village in the Earth Kingdom with a squad of soldiers. This being the first time he had ever left the walls of Ba Sing Se. During his time in the military, Yuri was tasked with caring for the handful of trained dogs the squad had with them. This is where he met Repede. However, after only a few months, Yuri decided to quit the military after witnessing firsthand the corruption that led to his captain's death. Taking Repede with him, Yuri walked the entire way back to Ba Sing Se. It was during that trip that they were attacked by an angry Moose Lion, which resulted in Repede being severely injured and permanently blinded in one eye.

After his experience in the military, and continuing to witness the injustices in Ba Sing Se, Yuri turned to vilgilantism. He would regularly assault the tax collectors who came to take what little money the people had. Yuri also had no qualms attacking the police or even Dai Li agents who were harassing the people, exerting his own sense of justice since there was none to be found otherwise. This landed him in jail on more than one occasion of course, and led to him being branded a criminal and a nuisance. This is the life that he has been leading up until the point that he suddenly found himself in Republic City.

Sample:

Suggested Nationality: Earth Kingdom
Why?: Yuri's hometown in his canon is very much like Ba Sing Se and AUing him here makes the most sense. Plus with dark hair and and black eyes, his appearance looks closer to Earth Kingdom citizens than it does any other nation.

Character Information:
Name: Zuko
Canon: Avatar: The Last Airbender (tv show)
Canon Point: Book 3, episode 20, Sozin's Comet: Into the Inferno. Zuko saves Katara from Azula's lightning and is injured.
Age: 17 (16 at the beginning of the series. Firebenders typically have summer birthdays and since the show is about a year long icly, it stands to reason that he should be 17 since it ends at the end of the summer.)
Reference Links: Avatar Wiki entry for Zuko.

Setting:
Avatar: The Last Airbender takes place in a world that is very reminiscent of ancient China and is only starting to develop technology. The world is divided into four nations: The Fire Nation, the North and South Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, and the Air Nomads. Each naction is named after an element in which many of its citizens possess "bending" abilities. This bending allows people to manipulate their respective element, and only one element as they are born with this ability. The only person who can bend more than one element, all four actually, is the Avatar. The Avatar provides a bridge between the spirit world and the mortal world and also keeps balance between the four nations. The Avatar has existed for about 10,000 years and is reborn through a cycle of reincarnation that spans each of the elements. Right now the world is in war, caused by the Fire Nation. After the death of Avatar Roku, during a comet that increased their abilities, the Fire Lord had the Air Nomads completely slaughtered. The reason for this being that the Avatar was to be reborn next into the Air Nomads. However, Aang the Avatar, escaped. Unknown to the Fire Nation, he encased himself in ice below the surface of the ocean. The Fire Nation ravaged the rest of the nations in their pursuit of complete domination, and 100 years after the Air Nomad genocide, the Avatar returned. Prince Zuko is the crown prince of the Fire Nation but was banished by his father and sent on a fool's mission to capture the Avatar. Thus once Aang's presence was made known, he relentlessly pursued him in order to regain his honor and his father's favor. However, his many encounters with the Avatar would have a profound affect on him and eventually he turned on his father in order to help Aang bring an end to the war and restore balance to the world.

Personality:
Zuko is a very complicated young man with a troubled past. As he would say, its made him who he is and its made him strong. Overall, Zuko is a good person, but he has struggled with doing the right thing in the past. His intentions are good, more often than not, but he has shown to be a bit misguided at points in his life. And even with the best of intentions, it hasn't always been the right choice for him. For much of his life, he struggled to please his father. It wasn't until recently that he realized that he didn't need to please his father in order to have honor or determine his destiny. He's come to realize that only he can discover what his real destiny is, and gain his own honor.

With his struggles, there are times he lacks confidence in making decisions. Often he's not thought things through, and gotten himself into trouble. However, he has been improving on that.

Anger used to drive Zuko's actions and intentions, particularly after his father banished him. He would often break out into a rage and throw tantrums, and act recklessly. During his time chasing the Avatar, Zuko constantly teetered on the brink of good and evil, which his Uncle Iroh described as being a constant war within himself. These days he's much more calm, focused, and serious. Still, when he loses his patience or becomes frustrated, he can easily still fly off the handle. When things aren't going well for him, he uses his anger to express this. His temper can become especially volatile when he's been bottling up his feelings for a long time, which certainly isn't uncommon.

Zuko is also very head strong, determined, driven, stubborn, and proud. His drive to catch the Avatar was bordering on obsessive, and while his goals have changed, that drive still remains. Though a bit on the reckless side, he's smart enough to know when to back off or retreat. However, once he puts his mind to something, he will see it through to the end and not easily give up.

Ultimately, Zuko has a kind and pure heart, and is an idealist. He wants nothing more than to help bring peace and balance to his world, and to restore the honor of the nation he loves. After joining the Avatar, he's found an inner peace that he's never had before. This peace can also be attributed to his uncle Iroh, who has had a great deal of influence in his life. While he didn't always take his uncle's sagely advice seriously and often mocked him, he took it all to heart. When in the absence of his uncle, Zuko has tried to recall what Iroh might say and would give confusing advice as a result. He even tried to tell one of his uncle's tea jokes once, but was only able to remember the punchline. Thus is can be said that he's also a bit socially awkward. This was especially true when he tried to prove himself to Team Avatar and failed rather spectacularly at first. According to him, he was "bad at being good".

But through all his struggles, his suffering, and repeated failures, Zuko has grown to be an honorable and respectable person. He fights for what he believes in, and is not afraid to do what needs to be done.

Appearance:
Zuko is a young man who is pretty average in height, has short shaggy dark brown hair, golden yellow eyes, and a prominent scar on the left side of his face. He has an athletically muscular build, and is dressed in casual Fire Nation clothes that have varying's shades of red, gold trim, and embroidered flame motifs with boots that end in an upturned point. Also, he possesses a scar on his abdomen from his recent injury due to his sister's lightning attack.
Pictures: X X X

Abilities:
Zuko is a firebending master, though his skill came from hard work and training. Unlike his sister, who is a prodigy, Zuko was born with rather average firebending skills. He was a late bloomer and through his uncle's training, he became a powerful bender, though his skills will never be quite as good as Azula's. Zuko's firebending used to be fueled by his anger, as is the case with most firebenders. However, when he joined Team Avatar, his anger subsided and his bending vanished. It wasn't until he met the dragons, Ran and Shaw, and discovered the true source of firebending, that he regained it. Upon learning from the masters, Zuko's firebending improved dramatically. To the point that he was a match for his sister in an Agni Kai duel during her insanity. He would have beaten her too if she hadn't resorted to dirty tricks. Unfortunately, Zuko has never learned to manipulate lightning due to his inner turmoil. However, he does know how to redirect it. He's been shown on a couple of occasions that he can absorb lightning that is shot at him, direct it through his body, and release it again. With his firebending he is able to manipulate fire in various forms that he primarily uses in combat. He can create fire and heat in mostly offensive moves such as blasts, streams, whips, and short bursts. On the rare occasion he can propel himself with fire and even direct it away from himself as a means of defense from fire attacks.

Aside from his bending, Zuko is also very skilled in swordsmanship. He was taught by one of the great sword masters in his world and uses a pair of dao blades. He's skilled enough that he's taken down several opponents at once, including benders, with just his blades. He can even combine his swordsmanship with his firebending.

Zuko is also very skilled in the use of stealth. During his time masquerading as the blue spirit, he was shown to sneak into heavily guarded places unnoticed. He's also very agile and strong, and is capable of great physical feats. Such as running along vertical walls, making great leaps, and using forms of martial arts. He can even break metal, like a chain with a single kick, or a gondola lever with a few well placed kicks. Thus he's quite phyiscally strong and powerful as well.

Mentally he's also clever and skilled in tracking, as he spent a great deal of time tracking the Avatar.

Inventory:
Since he was involved in an intense firebending battle at the time of his arrival, he has nothing on his person except the clothes on his back.

Suitability:
Zuko is very suitable in that he's coming from a very dark time in his nation's history. His people are the antagonists and he himself was as well until he had a change of heart and sided with the Avatar. Since his world has been steeped in war for 100 years, he's no stranger to it. He's more than combat worthy due to his firebending and swordmanship skills and was involved in a battle at his pull point. Since his nation is very militaristic by nature, a militarized structure is something he will be use to. Also, Keeliai is not all that dissimilar to his own world and thus he should have a fairly easy time adjusting compared to many other characters.

Suite: I believe that the Fire Sector would be most suitable for him, and not just because he's a Firebender. The people of the Fire Nation, and his own personality, are similar to the people in that sector. Despite his change in nature, he's still a bit of a hothead. Not to mention more aloof and serious than his friends. Plus he's a member of the royal family in his country, and a wealthier community near the emperor's palace seems a bit fitting. Plus the fire theme will probably make him feel more at home.

In-Character Samples:
Third Person (Prose):
After his arrival, having everything explained, Zuko was directed to his suite and it was here that he finally had a moment to himself. Everything had happened so suddenly and fast that it had been overwhelming. He hadn't even had a chance to process what had happend before he found himself here in this strange place.

But in the quiet of his room, he now had that opportunity, and it hit him like a ton of bricks. His golden eyes widening in horror at the realization. Lightning, pain, and eventual darkness before he found himself here. What had happened to him? What had happened to Katara?

Looking down at his burned clothes and the ugly scar on his abdomen, a feeling of dread came over him. He realized that it could very well have been a fatal wound. Lightning is dangerous and deadly. Katara, too preoccupied with Azula, might not have gotten to him in time.

Breaking out in a sweat, he began to panic at this thought. Did he... was he... gone? If so, what would become of his country? And the world? Would Katara have defeated her, or would Azula have won and taken the throne? The possibilities of what this could mean were simply overwhelming, and he had to sit.

Unable to shake the sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, Zuko dropped his head into his hands. No... this couldn't be happening. If this was true, then he had failed everyone. His destiny would not be realized, and this filled him with terror and despair.

Network:

[The feed starts with a confused looking teenager with a big scar on the side of his face. He's staring for a moment before he speaks.]

Is this thing even working?

[He fiddles with it some more before he decides that yes, it is working.]

Uh, hello. Zuko here. I'm new and uh... I guess you guys already know that.

[He fidgets a little. There's also a look about him like he's definitely uneasy about something.]

So... I guess I will be here for awhile.

[Duh.]

Also, has anyone seen a girl named Katara around here? It's really important that I find her.

CHARACTER

Name: Wan Shi Tong
Canon: Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra
Gender: Male
Age: Unknown (Ancient)
Wing Color: Black

Canon Point: Post Jinora's visit
Canon Point Explanation: Last known canon point.

History: Avatar Wiki

Personality:

Wan Shi Tong is the great spirit of knowledge, and thus is likely the most knowledgeable being in the Avatar world. His name means "He who knows 10,000 things." And since he knows, well, pretty much everything, he's kind of arrogant. He won't miss an opportunity to boast about his knowledge, and certainly doesn't like it when he's proven wrong either. But his love of knowledge is vast indeed, and long ago he wanted to share it with humanity so that they could better themselves. However, he became very cynical when humans proved to only want knowledge to get the upper hand on other humans, leading to violence and destruction. He considers this abuse of his knowledge and has since forbidden humans from entering his library, with a few exceptions.

However, once his trust has been betrayed, he becomes very angry. When it was revealed that Aang and his friends came only to find a way to defeat the Fire Nation, he buried his library so that no one else could abuse it. Plus when they tried to leave, he forbade it, saying they already knew too much. Thus he became ferociously violent to keep them from leaving. Despite all of this, Wan Shi Tong isn't really a bad or evil spirit. He merely is doing what he thinks is right and will use any means he has keep knowledge out of what he percieves as the wrong hands.

Because of his low opinion of humans, it could be said that he's Xenophobic, as he doesn't trust them at all due to having been betrayed in the past. However, he can be reasoned with as he did allow Aang and his friends to enter, and later Jinora. Plus Unalaq seemed to have gained his trust as Wan Shi Tong claimed that he was more of a friend to the spirits than than the Avatar. When not angry or cynical, he is usually rather calm and composed. Having a very regal presence about himself that demands respect. The spirit is typically very reasonable until you cross him.

Strengths
Physical: Having the likeness of an owl, his abilities are thus similar. He is able to turn his head 270 degrees in order to look around like an owl can. He also has excellent hearing and eyesight and can fly almost silently. He is also quite powerful, his weapons being his sharp beak and talons. So strong is he that he was able to break a stone floor with his beak when attacking Aang and his friends. He also had the power to bury his library and move it back to the spirit world, possibly through some sort of earthbending? He claimed that waterbending was useless against him since he had studied all the styles, suggesting he either knew how or atleast how to defend against it. Thus it stands to reason that he's studied all forms of bending as well. He also appears to have the ability to shape shift somewhat. When angered, his body became more elongated and terrifying. He was able to move with great speeds through his library and easily weave around bookcases despite his large size. Like all spirits he is also immortal.

Mental/Emotional: Since he is the spirit of knowledge and has lived for probably thousands of years, Wan Shi Tong has amassed immense knowledge within his library and has read it all. He knows practically everything there is to know in his world that he can read and study. This is what he loves and takes delight in learning. Until he developed a mistrust for humans, he would willingly share the knowledge for the good intent of letting humanity better themselves. Since he is so knowledgeable and wise, is he typically a very reasonable spirit. Not quite benevolent but more along the lines of neutral. He doesn't like violence, though he will use it if he must, and thus forbids his knowledge to be used in war and destruction. This is his way of attempting to keep harmory in the world. Since he knows all things, he is also very perceptive and it is difficult to pull the wool over his eyes.

Weaknesses
Physical: Despite being a spirit, he has a physical form that can be damaged. Aang was able to knock him away with his airbending, and Sokka was also able to knock him out for a short time with a blow to his head. His size can also be a hinderance, especially in small spaces like a library. He manages to move around well enough, but when angered, despite his fast and sleek movements, he still managed to cause damage to his collection.

Mental/Emotional: While he seems to know all things, Wan Shi Tong's knowledge is completely dependant on the things he amasses in his collection. He only knows what he's read or studied for himself. He was even fed misinformation by one of his knowledge seekers about the radio, believing it to be a tiny man in a box. Jinora corrected him much to his chagrin. He then claimed to not care about such things, though it was probably only to save face as he doesn't like to be made a fool of. He doesn't like humans. He is very distrustful of them and cynical. After having been lied to, fooled my them, and had his knowledge abused, humans were largely banned from his library. He definitely is one to hold a grudge, and being an all knowing spirit, won't forget about it either. He was probably a lot more trustful at one point, but after having been decieved, even by Aang and his friends, his trust is a bit harder to gain. And when his rules and trust have been broken, he has been known to fly into a destructive rage.

Anything else?: Wan Shi Tong will be coming with one of his knowledge seeking foxes as a pet to assist him.

CHARACTER

Name: Lugia
Canon: Pokemon Anime/movieverse (Pokemon the Movie 2000: The Power of One)
Gender: Genderless (But since he has a masculine voice I'll call it a him.)
Age: Unknown. (Really old)
Wing Color: Violet (Like his back fins.)

Canon Point: Post Movie
Canon Point Explanation: This is the furthest known canon point for this particular Lugia. I don't consider him the same as the one that appears later in the anime.

Disturb not the harmony of fire, ice, and lightning;
Lest these titans wreak destruction upon the world in which they clash.
Though the water's great guardian shall rise to quell the fighting;
Alone its song will fail, thus the earth shall turn to ash.

The history of Lugia is shrouded in mystery, but one thing that remains is the prophecy. Suggesting that once upon a time there was a lack of harmony on the earth that required the separation and calming of the titan of fire, ice, and lightning. Moltres, Articuno, and Zapdos respectively. Lugia was tasked with overseeing the three as well as becoming the guardian of the seas. Though once upon a time, he dwelled upon a tower in Ecruteak of Johto. Until it's destruction by Ho-oh. Lugia also resides at the bottom of the ocean, not because he is required to live there, but to control his own destructive powers. Thus ensuring peace and harmony on the planet for hundreds, if not thousands of years.

This all changed when the bird trio was disturbed by a collector looking to capture Lugia. Because of this the titans warred with each other and created an unbalance that resulted in the earth's weather becoming chaotic. So chaotic infact that it threatened to destroy all life on the planet. As the prophecy predicted, Lugia was defeated and nearly captured, having failed to calm the three birds. But with help from the Chosen One, Ash Ketchum, harmony and balance was restored once more. The birds returned to their own islands and Lugia to the depths of the sea.

Personality:

Lugia is a very mysterious Pokemon, and is referred to as such by many of the natives in the Johto region. Some equate him to that of a sea monster, others a guardian of legend, some a trophy to be caught, and to a few even a god among Pokemon. Little is known about him, and few even know that he protects the sea and oversees the birds that dwell near Shamouti island.

This Pokemon prefers solitude, and he finds it at the very deepest parts of the ocean. Its there that he's remained for hundreds of years, if not more. His reason for doing this is essentially to protect the world from himself. He cares a great deal about the well being of the Pokemon and people that live on the land and certainly does not desire to hurt anyone or anything. Even with the birds went out of control, he was not trying to hurt them but merely to stop the fighting. Above all he is a pacifist. Choosing peaceful means preferably over violence, despite the power that he weilds. He is kind and essentially a gentle giant of a Pokemon. Lugia has a strong urge to protect the innocent and those who would do good. Ash Ketchum being one such individual who was under his protection, the only person who could save the world from immient destruction when the titan birds went out of control. It is also said that while Lugia can be the source of storms, there have been stories of the Pokemon rescuing sailors in distress from such storms.

However, if provoked, this Pokemon can become very angry and even go out of control. When a collector attempted to capture him, Lugia want beserk. Not only attacking the source of his wrath, but also shooting aeroblasts in random directions. To the point of even nearly hitting Articuno, Moltres, and Zapdos themselves.

Strengths
Physical: Lugia is a Pokemon of legend, and as such is very powerful. So powerful in fact that he hides at the bottom of the ocean to control such power unless he is needed. He can control the weather. It is even said that a light flutter of his wings will cause a storm. Lugia can summon great tempests, but also calm them just as easily. Being that he has wings, Lugia is a powerful flier, and can even carry people on his back. He is fast and can even make himself more streamlined by folding the fins on his back. This Pokemon is also able to sing, a sound that has a distinct melody and also sounds similar to the songs of whales.

Lugia's main attacks are:
Aeroblast: A flying type move that is very powerful and unique to Lugia. It involves powerful beams of energy long with a blast of swirling air. Lugia used this during his attempted capture and sliced off part of an air ship with it.
Hydro Pump: A powerful water type move that produces a highly pressurized blast.
Extrasensory: A psychic type move that creates a medium strength blast of psychic energy.

Secondary Moves:
Whirlwind: A powerful blast of wind that can blow things away.
Whirlpool: This is an attack that causes a vortex of swirling water. He can also use it to propel himself from deep in the ocean to above the surface as he did when he first appeared in the movie.
Recover: The ability to heal himself partially.
Rain Dance: A move that summons a rain storm.
Safeguard: Able to shield Lugia and those around him from attacks, falling debris, and status effects. He used this to deflect the attacks of the legendary birds.

Mental/Emotional: He is a psychic type Pokemon, and can communicate telepathicly as well as surround himself with a protective barrier that can deflect objects and Pokemon attacks such as those from the legendary birds. While all Pokemon are highly in tune with nature, Lugia is even more so. He can sense it when something goes wrong, and the presence of other Pokemon. He knew what was going on with the birds even while at the bottom of the ocean. He is generally calm, benevolent, and kind, but also strong willed. His sense of duty to protect the world makes it so that he does not give up and will fight until he can't anymore. It is also implied that Lugia can sense emotions as he knew why masses of Pokemon had gathered around the site of the warring birds. He was also able to sense what was happening from very deep within the ocean and knew when to intervene. Lugia is also highly intelligent. Not only can he understand humans, but he can communicate with them directly as well through his telepathy, something that is very rare among Pokemon. Lugia "spoke" to Ash many times in a clearly intelligent fashion and showed a great knowledge of the prophecy, Pokemon, and the world in general.

Weaknesses
Physical: Despite his immense power, Lugia is not infallible. He was defeated twice; once by the three birds when all three concentrated their attacks on him at once, and a second time by the collector who attempted to capture him with electrical devices. Even the prophecy predicted that he alone would fail, and fail he did. Being of the psychic and flying types, Lugia is especially weak to dark, ghost, ice, electric, and rock attacks. Dark types are also immune to his psychic attacks. Also, while a speedy flier, Lugia can only hold so much weight. Carrying three people and two Pokemon weighed him down to the point that he was significantly slower. Lugia's power also has its draw backs, in that he can be particularly destructive even when not intending to. It is for this reason that he isolated himself at the bottom of the ocean.

Mental/Emotional: While being a psychic type, Lugia does have limitations. He has not shown to use telekinesis, mind control or mind reading as some other powerful psychic types have shown. His psychic powers are also completely useless when it comes to dark types. Also, while he is highly intelligent, Lugia has been known to fly into a blind rage. Particularly when he was captured. Injured and confused, he shot Aeroblasts in all directions before succumbing to his injuries. Anothe member of his species also flew into a rage when it's baby was taken from them. Thus Lugia has the potential to be very dangerous and destructive when provoked.

Anything else?: Since the movie and anime are very contradictory in their portrayal of Lugia and don't give much information, I'm taking mostly from the movie but also bits from the game to fill in some of the gaps along with my own headcanon.

Name: B'Elanna Torres
Canon: Star Trek: Voyager
Gender: Female
Age: 23
Wing Color: Dark Brown (like her hair)
Canon Point: Near the end of Voyager's second year in the Delta Quadrant, 2372. (Start of the third season, after Basics Part 2)
Canon Point Explanation: This is shortly before hints of B'Elanna's future relationship with Tom Paris. I decided to bring her in before that relationship started for character development purposes.

History: Memory-Alpha Wiki

Personality: From the very beginning, life was very difficult for B'Elanna Torres. Her childhood and heritage being perhaps the main factors that have made her what she is today. Having a Klingon mother, and a human father, resulted in her being a mix of the two species. According to her, the Klingon half of her is more trouble than its worth. That due to the fact that her temper has been perhaps the greatest bane of her existence. Even her father found it difficult to live with two Klingons, and eventually left her and her mother while she was still a young child. B'Elanna cried herself to sleep at night for months after he left, and subsequently blamed herself. A big reason for this being she had overheard him complaining about her to other members of her family. On top of that, she and her mother lived on a colony as the only Klingon civilians, and during a time when relations between the Federation and the Klingon Empire were not "too cordial". Thus she never felt that she and her mother really fit on or were accepted, even though nobody gave them a hard time. She still felt different, which was only enhanced by the fact that she was teased and tormented by a boy at school who called her "Miss Turtlehead." This was so insulting to her that she thoroughly beat him up. These experiences were the roots of her insecurities that would plague her and cause her to fight her way through life. She has also developed a thick skin as a result.

While a lot of her anger is directed inward, its also displayed outwardly by a violent temper. She has a short fuse and can lash out easily, though most of the time she tries to keep herself under control. Her temper and rebellious nature often got her in trouble in Starfleet Academy. As a result, she had four disciplinary hearing and one suspension, until she decided that Starfleet wasn't for her. She often had arguments with many of her instructors, and thought that none of them were sad to see her go. That is until it was pointed out to her that one of the teachers she argued with most had made a note that he would support her if she decided to return.

B'Elanna often likes to do things her own way, and sometimes will ignore rules and authority so that she can do what she thinks is best. It was this way of thinking that led her to join the Maquis, a rebel group, after Chakotay saved her life. She reprogrammed a Cardassian weapon and sent it to attack a Cardassian outpost without telling her superior, Chakotay, afraid that he wouldn't give her permission. Likewise when given an opportunity to get an alien technology that could get Voyager home, she went against the wishes of the aliens and the captain and tried to use it anyway. This ended up being one of her biggest mistakes as it hadn't been compatible with the ship and resulted in damage and Captain Janeway being disappointed in her, which was a crushing blow.

At one point, B'Elanna was captured by a race called the Viidians who suffered from a terrible disease. It was discovered that her Klingon DNA was resistent to it and she was split into two people, a Klingon and a human. Her Klingon side was very aggressive, violent, but loyal and died in order to protect her human self. While her human self was very weak, timid, and afraid. Thus it came to reason that her two sides balanced each other out, and after this experience she was able to be more at peace with herself. Though she knew she would still have to fight her Klingon self for the rest of her life.

Despite her temper, she is also very compassionate and loyal to those she cares for. She showed her compassion in her desire to prevent a race of sentient robots from going extinct, as well as to her injured comrade, Tuvok, who had been tortured. When asked, she also donated a part of her brain to an ailing Viidian in order to prolong her life, although it took a bit of convincing as she still had nightmares due to her encounter with them. She has also developed a strong loyalty not only to the Maquis crew, but to the Voyager crew as well. She often doesn't agree with the Starfleet protocols and regulations, but more often than not she will follow them.

While her Klingon features tend to be more dominant physically, her tastes seem to be more human in nature. Her favorite foods include banana pancakes with maple syrup, something that her grandmother use to make for her. She also has a great fondness for southern comfort foods such as potato salad with paprika and fried chicken. Her style of clothing is decidedly more human in nature and less Klingon. This probably coming from the fact that she despises her Klingon side and wishes to relate more with her human side. Another example of this being that her human self didn't want to be refused with her Klingon DNA.

Being stranded in the Delta Quadrant has been a challenging experience for her. She has had to make some adjustments to being on a Starfleet vessle. The most complaints being her attitude and temper, though she was actually able to fit in better than most of the other Maquis that were aboard. She was able to make friends easily and earned her place among the ranks as well as respect. However, she seems to be quite distant from her family. When asked about them, she said there was nobody back home that would really miss her. Since her father left when she was only five, she hadn't seen him since. Plus she also has a distant relationship with her mother. Thinking that the only people who cared about her were already with her on the ship.

Strengths

Physical: Being part Klingon gives certain physical advantages over humans. The most notable one that she has is her better than average strength, to the point that she can easily break a person's nose with a single punch. An example of this being when she did such to Lt. Carey in the second episode. Klingons are built to survive combat situations, such as having extra and redundant organs, which also gives them greater stamina. While she is not fully Klingon, Klingon traits tend to be dominant even in hybrids that only have a fraction of the species heritage. Thus she would undoubtably have some of these traits, but in a reduced manner. She is a fast runner and was on the decathalon team while she was in Starfleet Academy, apparently being good enough that her coach was very unhappy when she decided to quit.

Mental: She is very intelligent and is exceptionally good at problem solving and thinking on her feet, a trait that has gotten her out of many scrapes and saved the lives of those around her. She is very technical and scientifically minded, has a good memory, and is a quick learner. All of which is has proven time after time while in the Academy, having been noted as being very promising future Starfleet officer. As well as during her time in the Maquis and as the chief engineer aboard Voyager. Her greatest feats include reprogramming a sophisticated Cardassian weapon, figuring out a way for Voyager to escape a quantum singularity, and creating a prototype artificial intelligence unit. Thus she is a very accomplished and capabole engineer, of which she had to prove to Captain Janeway before being assigned as the chief engineer. Chakotay has also always spoken very highly of her skills.

Emotional: The greatest emotional benefits she gets from her Klingon side is her confidence and bravery. She is typically very sure of herself and her abilities. She is not afraid of putting her life on the line for whatever she has set her mind to, though she knows enough not to go too far. Most of the time. An example of this would be when after she was split into two people, her Klingon half gave her life for her human half. Her human side also gives her a great deal of compassion and helps to balance her Klingon half. She is also intensely loyal to anyone she deems an ally or friend. When making contact with a sentient group of artificial lifeforms asked for her help to keep from going extinct, she desperately wished to help them. However, her compassion was overridden by her loyalty to her captain when she was forbidden to do so.

Weaknesses
Physical: Her human half somewhat dimishes the strength and abilities she would have if she were fully Klingon. As a result while she might be stronger than the average human, she can still be more easily overpowered than an average Klingon. Klingons are also more intolerant to the cold than humans, making B'Elanna more intolerant as a result. Also, when she was split into her human and klingon selves, it was revealed that she needed her Klingon DNA in order to survive.

Mental: An unfortunate result of her Klingon heritage is her violent and aggressive tendencies that have gotten her in trouble on more than one occasion. She admitted to Harry Kim that her Klingon side is hard to control sometimes, and she will easily lash out if provoked or threatened. Even an argument can stimulate her volatile temper, such as whens she broke Lt. Carey's nose over plasma conduits, and began banging her fists in futility against a door when she was being held by the Ocampa. Her temper often also results in being overly opinionated and forcefully speaking her mind when its not always appropriate. Such as her desire to kill a space dwelling life form that was attacking Voyager, when it was only acting on instinct due to their presence. Which she excels in her knowledge of physics and technical scieneces, she is not very proficient when it comes to biological and medical sciences, as demonstrated when she needed the Doctor's help when trying to fix Voyager's bioneural gel packs.

Emotional
: Being a hybrid of two species has caused B'Elanna to be very insecure with herself, to the point where she has hated her Klingon half for much of her life. She takes great efforts to control her violent tendencies, and is largely successful, but not always. She blames a lot of her problems on her Klingon temper and the reason for her getting into trouble. Teasing and not being accepted by the humans she lived among, as well as her father leaving, have contributed to a deep seated self loathing where she often wars with herself.

Anything else?: B'Elanna would most likely have a tricorder on her person when she was taken.

CHARACTER

Name:Zuko
Canon: Avatar: The Last Airbender
Gender: Male
Age: 19
Wing Color: Red with black tips.

Canon Point: After "The Search Part Three"
Canon Point Explanation: This is the most recent point available aside from The Legend of Korra where he's like 80 something and he's not even seen.
History: Avatar Wiki

Personality:

At first glance, Zuko comes across as a very serious, down to earth, maybe even grumpy sort of individual. As Fire Lord, he loves his nation and is highly devoted to his people. Perhaps his biggest priority is restoring the honor of the Fire Nation after 100 years of war in his world, and helping the Avatar keep balance between all the nations. Honor is something he takes very seriously, whether its his own or that of his country. He is fiercely loyal to this cause since he has witnessed first hand what his country did to the world. He once told his father that banishment was the best thing he'd ever done for him. It was because of this that Zuko was able to find himself and his true path.

Despite the lessons he had learned, they did not come easy. He has always had to fight and struggle for what he has. As opposed to his sister, Azula, who had everything handed to her. As his father once said, Azula was born lucky, while Zuko was lucky to be born. For years, particularly after his banishment, Zuko wanted nothing more than to have his father's approval and love. Ozai's animosity towards Zuko started at his birth and continued through out most of his life. That animosity peaked when Zuko was challenged by his father to an Agni Kai duel that left him permanently scarred and resulted in his exile and stripped of his birthright. Not only were the scars outwardly, on his face, but inwardly as well. He was hot headed and obsessed with restoring his honor, which meant capturing the Avatar and bringing him back to Ozai. He's driven, but has a lack of foresight that's gotten him in trouble on more than one occasion. Such as when he did manage to capture Aang but dragged him into a blizzard where he surely would have frozen to death if not rescued by the Avatar and his friends.

After being branded a traitor, Zuko was forced to live the life of a penniless wanderer in the Earth Kingdom. An experience that was very humbling for him. At first he resorted to stealing, even from those that were kind to him, but over time he began to change his ways, becoming more compassionate and kind. Despite this, Zuko was constantly conflicted and had a hard time choosing between what was right and wrong. Between what he thought he wanted, and what his destiny was calling him to do. This led to the betrayal of his Uncle Iroh, something he would end up deeply regretting. He eventually came to realize that his uncle had been more of a father to him than his own true father. Through his uncle's wisdom, and learning the tale of his two great grandfathers, Zuko eventually came to learn what his destiny was. And this called for betraying his nation in order to save it, and joining the Avatar.

Tempered by the flames of experience and hard life lessons, Zuko changed from an angry and ruthless youth, to an idealistic and honorable young man. His time with Aang and his friends helped Zuko to find peace and a new direction in his life. Whereas once his firebending was fueled by rage, he came to learn that fire came from life and energy, as shown to him by the dragons Ran and Shaw. Through hard work and sacrifice, Zuko has come a long way from the bitter person he once was, to the noble Fire Lord he is now.

Family has always been very important to Zuko. He was very close to his mother when he was younger, and has also shown great determination in finding her. In fact his first major act as Fire Lord was to send out search parties for her. On more than one occasion he demanded that Ozai tell him where she was, but with no success. However, with the help of his friends and his sister, he was reunited with her and discovered more about his own past. He is also very close to his Uncle Iroh, who played a more fatherly role in his life than Ozai. Often times Zuko ignored and resented Iroh's sagely advice, except when it suited him, but eventually came to respect it. Even when obsessed with finding the Avatar, Zuko put his uncle's safety first as he once turned away from chasing Aang to instead rescue him. Even after betraying his uncle, Zuko sought out his advice repeatedly and eventually tearfully apologized to him. His relationship with his father has always been complicated, even though his family was happy once when he was a child. Zuko cared deeply about what his father thought about him, and wanted his affection, but eventually realized he would never have it. He even cared about his ruthless sister, despite the two becoming bitter enemies. When Azula appeared to be falling to her death, Zuko expressed regret, which faded when Azula managed to save herself. However, Zuko knows that his sister and father pretty much equate to the worst family ever, and he didn't hesitate in doing his part to bring them down. Still, they are his family and after being inspired during a visit to the Earth Kingdom, he came to realize that his relationship with his family was important to the success of his leadership over the Fire Nation.

Matching his firebending skills, Zuko also has a flaming temper. Despite being far more composed than he use to be, this is a trait that will likely never go away. He has a short fuse, especially when under pressure and frustrated. However, he is determined to never let anger and rage drive his existence anymore. He is also appropriately stubborn and tenacious, something well seen when pursuing the Avatar. He still has these traits as well, but they have been redirected in more constructive and positive ways for the most part. However, Zuko also remains a very conflicted person. Thanks to his upbringing and his heritage, he constantly wars with himself on doing the right thing. Even after becoming Fire Lord, he was deeply troubled about how to handle the matter of the colonies that held citizens of both the Fire Nation and the Earth Kingdom. He chose to defend the colonies, even as the Earth Kingdom tried to push them out. A decision that was staunchly fought against, even by his friends, but turned out to be the right one in the end. His worries stemming not from his inability to lead, but his fear of becoming like his father. His sense of morality having come from the very beginning which was attributed to weakness by Ozai and still is by some members of the Fire Nation.

Zuko is not the most socially adept person. When joining Aang and his group, his interactions with them were awkward at first, especially considering that he was once their enemy. This awkwardness revealed a more comical side to his personality, although he's pretty bad at telling jokes and impersonations. However, his loyalty and sincerity won the trust of his friends. His other significant relationship is with Mai, one of Azula's former friends, who had always had a crush on him. Zuko most certainly had feelings for her, but their relationship was often a rocky one as they broke up twice, but came back together. However, Mai again recently decided to leave him after Zuko kept certain secrets from her. He ended up confessing his love for her, but this did not stop her, leaving him heartbroken and alone once more.

Strengths
Physical: Zuko is a master firebender, which means he can essentially make fire and heat. His abilities ranging from creating small fire daggers, to large bursts of flame, and even creating a wall of fire to protect himself. The majority of his firebending was learned from his Uncle Iroh, especially his Fire Breath and the ability to redirect lightning. The later being especially difficult and capable of killing him if not done properly. His skill has been proven several times, such as the defeat of General Zhao in an Agni Kai, and against his own sister and father, all of whom are highly skilled firebenders. As well as countless Fire Nations soldiers, etc, even able to take out multiple foes at one time. Later, after losing his ability to firebend due to his lack of rage, he learned even more techniques from the Sun Warriors and the dragons Ran and Shaw, which also helped expand his understanding of firebending. He is also skilled in the use of swordmanship with double dao blades, with which he was able to hold his own against several Fire Nation soldiers order to rescue the Avatar. As well as against some Earth Kingdom thugs, having learned from one of the best swordsman in the Fire Nation. He typically only uses the swords when he can't bend or needs to disguise himself. He even has some experience with knives. He is also strong, agile, and capable of great physical feats from breaking chain with a single kick to running across walls and even swimming in freezing water while holding his breath for long periods. Also skilled in unarmed combat, he can deflect projectiles, disarm, subdue, and defeat opponents, such as he did with several Earth Kingdom soldiers rapidly and efficiently. He is also very capable in stealth and infiltration as he can sneak into a heavily guarded fortress without being noticed for some time, as he did when disguised as the Blue Spirit. Finally, he is talented with the Tsungi Horn, but often refuses to play.

Mental: Zuko is very clever and intelligent, not to mention resourceful. For instance he was able to fool a celestial calander by reflecting the sun off his dao swords. As Fire Lord he has also demonstrated his abilities in stragtegy, leadership, and organization. This shown as he led the Fire Nation's army to Yu Dao. He also seems to be capable of charisma through inspirational speeches he has made to his own people. His drive and determination make him capable of great accomplishments. He is exceptionally focused on whatever he puts his mind to, and will see it through to the end. Without this, he never would have been capable of regaining the throne and leading his country into a new era of peace. He is courageous and noble to the point he will put himself in harms way to save someone else, as seen when he redirected lightning from hitting Katara, nearly killing himself in the process.

Emotional: Zuko is a very emotionally charged teenager and his feelings often drive him. For instance, his rage use to fuel his firebending until it subsided after joining Aang. He has a great deal of determination and often will not give up when he sets his mind to something. His pursuit of the Avatar is the biggest example of this. He also has a strong sense of loyalty to those he cares for and particularly his nation. These days he strives to do the right thing and as he matures, he continues to grow and is becoming more at peace with himself. No longer bound by what his father thinks of him he has found greater contentment and is more comfortable in his own skin. Deep down he has always been very kind and had a strong since of morals. Though this was mostly hidden by anger and bitterness after his banishment, but now he expresses it more freely. He strives for justice and peace and thus is doing his part in restoring harmony to the world. Even against his enemies he will show mercy, such as he did with Zhao and his own sister despite their cruelty toward him.

Weaknesses
Physical: Like all other firebenders, Zuko's power relies heavily on the sun. While he's stronger during the day, at night his bending is weaker. Or during an eclipse, he is unable to bend at all. While he is a master, he was never blessed with the talent his sister has. In fact, when he was born, no one was sure that he was even a bender at all because he lacked the spark in his eyes that firebenders typically have. This was what started his father's rejection. Even though he was found to be a bender, as he grew up, he was obviously not nearly as good as Azula. It wasn't until his uncle started teaching him in his teens that he started to improve. He had to work hard at it instead of being naturally gifted, and was thus essentially a late bloomer. Even though he has improved significantly he will easily admit that he's still not as good as his sister. In fact, he has never shown the ability to generate lightning. When he tried to learn Zuko lacked the peace of mind and his attempts would backfire. Even though he's since gained the peace of mind he needs, and could possibly learn, he hasn't.

Mental: While intelligent he is impulsive, reckless, and sometimes lacking a bit in common sense and foresight. All of which he has been trying to improve upon with some varying degrees of success. He is still very young and as such is still lacking in some maturity, though he has come a long way. He still doubts himself and struggles with doing the right thing and trying to determine what is right. His stubborn nature has also gotten him in trouble and he prefers to keep things to himself, even when he needs help the most. Insisting that he doesn't need the help, even though he desperately does. And thus this has led him to make some rather poor choices, such as going to his father for advice and then keeping it from his girlfriend. He is quite prideful and sometimes it takes a bit of humbling to make him realize what he really needs. Having grown up in a royal family that was highly dysfunctional, he's a bit selfish and socially awkward. In fact his own selfishness often conflicts with his desire to do what's good for others, even when it comes to those closest to him. He's also kinda bad at making jokes, like when he could only remember the punchline for one of his uncles tea jokes. He's also not all that exceptional at giving advice or passing on wisdom as shown through his "silver sandwich" metaphor, and ends up just sounding comical.

Emotional: His past has left him with deep mental and emotional scars that still plague him to this day. At one point his emotional struggles were so great that it left him physically ill for several days. Despite the fact that he seems confident, he does struggle with feelings of self worth. Even though he's come to control his feelings of anger for the most part, there are still times where he lashes out. Recent examples being where several attempts had been made on his life. When under stress, anger is usually his way of dealing with it. His temper can be rather explosive, resulting in yelling and insults. Zuko also tends to let things get to him too easily sometimes, and will take failures rather hard. Often times blaming himself and taking particular burdens on his own shoulders. He's very conflicted, and when not in control, will wear his emotions on his sleeve. Moments of content and happiness are somewhat rare for him as he is constantly under pressure. Especially now that he's Fire Lord and often doesn't get the chance to just be a teenager. He's lonely, and really he's mostly the cause for that as he tends to push people away rather than let them get close. As with many teenagers he is also capable of great angst and drama and makes things harder for himself than they need to be.

First Person: Q&A please!

Third Person:

"For the last time, I don't want any tea!"

The shout could probably be heard out in the street before Zuko came bursting through the door and slammed it behind him. The young man stalking through the street in a fit of irritation and frustration as he sought to put some distance between himself and his uncle, and to be alone for awhile.

It wasn't Iroh's fault that this had happened, and he felt a prick of guilt in the back of his mind for yelling at him. However, his arrival to this place had obviously not gone over well and he was still processing it. Still coming to terms with the reality of his predicament.

How could everyone just sit around and take this? Being held captive and even experimented on? It was crazy! But even he had to admit, he didn't know what to do about it. Still, that didn't mean he was going to be happy, which was evident as he stomped his way out of town and towards the forest.

Eventually finding a suitable clearing that was far enough away, Zuko vented his frustration in the form of firebending. A swinging kick and a couple jabs producing a few short bursts of flame. He scowled at the results.

So it was true, this place did weaken his bending. With a heavy sigh, Zuko sat himself on a small boulder and put his head in his hands. It was here he would sit for several hours in thought, eventually making a fire as it got dark.

After some sulking he pulled out his journal and looked it over. Seeing some of the entries inside, he closed it again and set it aside.

Again he sat in silence, staring at the flames. Being out here like this, it reminded him of his time in the Earth Kingdom, when he and his uncle were exiles. That felt like a life time ago. He was a far different man then.

State of the RP

character: Estellise Sidos Heurassein ([personal profile] childofthefullmoon)
series: Tales of Vesperia
tagging priority: ■■■■□: It's a toss up between her and Lance.
muse strength: ■■■■■: Pretty good. Other than a few minor blips, I've not had any trouble with her.
cast strength: ■■□□□: We've taken some pretty hard hits lately with the loss of Yuri and Raven. Those that are left are great, but I'd like to do more with them.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■■: Pretty darn easy to plot with. I probably use Estelle more than any of my other characters.
general fun level: ■■■■■: I really enjoy Estelle, much more than I thought I would. If for some reason I had to go down to one character, it'd be her.
likelihood of drop: □□□□□: Even if the Vesperia cast dropped off the face of Luceti, I'd still keep her.

Estelle has been through the wringer lately, and half of it wasn't even intentional. She fainted during that Kin'Corran event due to the power cap and over using her powers, causing her to be comatose for a few days. Also the amnesia event that got her to feeling guilty about treatin Yuri badly. Then she got kidnapped by the Malnosso and forced experience something very similar to what Alexei did to her back home. Then there was the whole Jonah fiasco where Estelle found out that Yuri, whom she has feelings for, had a kid with Judith. That was pretty emotional and led her to confessing and seeking advice from Sokka. THEN she was drafted, which I wasn't gonna have happen originally but medics were needed, which was a nightmare in itself with the zombies. Shortly after that, both Raven and Yuri were sent back home.

So yeah, Estelle has been through a lot, and she's struggling with her emotions and trying to stay optimistic. The girl is strong, but this is a bit much, even for her. Rita arrived somewhere in the middle of all of that, and that's helped, but still she's taking Yuri leaving pretty hard. She has a tea party coming up, but her enthusiasm has dropped cause of Yuri. Hopefully things will be looking up for her soon.

character: Simba ([personal profile] pantheraleo)
series: The Lion King
tagging priority: ■■□□□: Sadly I'm not as eager to tag him. My enthusiasm isn't as much as with the others.
muse strength: ■■■■□: It's okay.  I don't really have much trouble with his voice.
cast strength: □□□□□: Nonexistant.
plotting capabilities: ■■□□□: Definitely the most difficult of my lot. He's young, a lion, and has no special powers to speak of. Taking him on missions/drafts is not practical at this point, and he's rather limited in the things he can do.
general fun level: ■■■□□: He has his fun moments, and he's definitely interesting, but there's still a level of meh. He's adorable but just not as exciting as the others.
likelihood of drop: ■■□□□: Not planning on it, but if it came down to it, he'd be the first I'd drop.

Simba is... complicated. I really liked the idea I had for him, as in growing up in Luceti, but it's turning out to be harder than I anticipated. Not that there's anything wrong with him really, or his voice, but... he's just limited. I can't take him on missions or anything like that simply cause he can't fight. It'd make no sense. It'll be a long time before he grows up too. Lions grow fast, but it still takes a few years. He has some great CR though, and I really enjoy that. I just want... something more for him, and I'm not sure what. I don't wanna say I'm bored with him, but maybe I am. I need more plots with him, more fun things to do. I've done the whole father angst thing, and I'm ready for him to grow beyond that now.

character: Lance ([personal profile] innerdragon)
series: Pokemon (Gameverse)
tagging priority: ■■■■□: As I said above, it's a toss up between him and Estelle.
muse strength: ■■■■■: Very strong, which isn't surprising considering I really like playing him.
cast strength: ■■□□□: There's Silver from his world... and yeah. There are others but they're not from his region and he's actually not met any of them yet except Ingo/Emmet briefly. Lol :V This needs to change. The Poke Special characters that he knows are pretty cool though.
plotting capabilities: ■■■■□: Not as easy as Estelle, but he's definitely getting up there. I find myself using him more and more.
general fun level: ■■■■■: Very fun. No complaints here.
likelihood of drop: □□□□□: Nope.

Lance! I had some doubts when I first started with him, but he's steadily ascending in his levels of fun and plotting capabilities. He's connecting well with some characters, and I'm really enjoying the CR he has so far. MOAR PLZ! He really is a lot of fun, though. So there's really not a whole lot to say. I enjoyed his growth during the draft, where he'd been thrust into the reality of Luceti and the need to fight. He's going to be putting himself out there more and contributing to the community and improving himself as best he can. He's taking horse riding lessons, will be planting some berries, and will probably join the training school too to learn how to fight. I has plans. Not to mention he's spreading his Pokemon knowledge around rather freely.

character: Roy ([personal profile] pherae_hope)
series: Fire Emblem: Sword of Seals
tagging priority: ■■■■■: Mostly because he's new and is having a pretty slow start.
muse strength: ■■■■□: It's been a while since I played Roy, and I'm having to get back into him. Still, I think it's pretty good.
cast strength: □□□□□: Also nonexistant. I'd really REALLY like to see some though.
plotting capabilities: ■■■□□: I don't know yet as I've definitely not had him long enough to know for sure. I really want plots with him but his intro was kinda fail.
general fun level: ■■■■□: Still too early to tell but I have high hopes.
likelihood of drop: ■□□□□: Very unlikely, unless things continue to be slow for him.

I've always liked Roy and I have high hopes for him here in Luceti! His OOC and IC intros gained very little interest though, and that's been a bit discouraging. Although I do realize he's a bit obscure unless you're a hardcore Fire Emblem fan. Hopefully this will change and he'll ascend the ranks of awesome like Lance did. It should be interesting to see how he handles modern technology since he pretty much comes from a medieval world.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Things are looking good for me here in Luceti! I'm rarely bored, which is a lot more than can be said for the last RP place I was in since I was bored all the time. I'm really enjoying the place, and my characters. There's lots of great RPers and characters all over this game and it makes me happy. I have no trouble with motivation in general, although I'm starting to wonder if I'm getting a bit too much into the game. XD;

I have four characters now, and while I have ideas for others, I'm really not sure I can or should app more. We'll just see what happens. Because of that, I'm not gonna put any of my possible future character ideas down here. I don't wanna get anyone's hopes up more than I already have. XD

Character

Name: Lance
Fandom: Pokemon (Game-verse)
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Time Period: After being defeated by Gold.
Wing Color: White
History: Bulbapedia
Personality:

Lance is a native of Johto, born and bred in Blackthorn city, where the infamous Dragon Clan resides. In fact, he is a member of the Dragon Clan himself, his grandfather being the elder. From a young age, Lance was recognized as a prodigy among the dragon masters of his clan. He had a gift for training the mighty dragon types that his clan preferred, much to the dismay of his cousin, Claire. His first Pokemon was a dratini, gifted to him by his grandfather, and he diligently raised the Pokemon into the Dragonite it is today. Lance's talent was always a subject of contempt with his cousin, her jealousy being constantly fueled by the fact that he was better than her. He personally doesn't have anything against her, but due to her jealousy, their relationship is a bit strained. This came to a head when Lance successfully completed the Dragon User's Challenge, while Claire did not. Lance went on to become a great trainer, eventually a member of the elite four and after that, the champion. Lance's parents were also killed by rampaging Gyarados when he was young. While traumatic, this helped to spur his determination even more in taming the most difficult Pokemon the world had to offer.

His talents, fame, popularity, and success, actually bred some arrogance into the young man as he quickly ascended the ladder into elitehood. At the time, he saw his Pokemon more as objects to get him to his goal, rather than friends and companions. That is until one fateful day, when a pair of young trainers from Kanto challenged him. The second one was what really got to him though. Not only was he beaten twice in a row, but there was something different about Red, who genuinely cared about his Pokemon. This experience humbled Lance considerably. He started to take his Pokemon more seriously, as in being kinder to them and raising them in a more loving manner. They thrived under this attention, which led him to eventually becoming the Indigo League's champion himself. No longer did he really care about titles or importance, instead he was a champion and advocate for the wellfare of Pokemon. He came a sort of permanently placed champion, taking on challenges from trainers all around the world, while also participating in the administration of the Indigo League.

A few years after his encounter with Red, Team Rocket would return. While before he hadn't really cared much about the nefarious criminal organization, things had now changed. Lance took it upon himself to investigate when suspicious activities started happening around Lake Rage, where he also encountered another trainer named Gold. He explained to Gold that he was a trainer like himself, not revealing his true identity as champion, and asking for his help. When discovering that a radio signal in Mahogany Town was causing the Magikarp to forcefully evolve, they both infiltrated the hidden Rocket base and worked together to shut it down. When it was seen that Gold was doing well, he even held back and simply watched as Gold finished them off. Lance wouldn't see Gold again until the boy came to challenge him at the Plateau, where he was again defeated. However, this time he wasn't at all surprised and was in fact happy to witness the rise of a great new champion.

In summary, Lance is actually a kind individual. He cares deeply for not only his, but all Pokemon. When he meets Silver, he is quick to point out the boy's faults and gives him a speech about how to care for his Pokemon properly. He was genuinely distressed by Silver's attitude towards his Pokemon, as it reminded him of when he was younger. Not wanting the boy to make the same mistakes he did, Lance has taken it upon himself to try and be a mentor to him. However, he does take training very seriously, and is constantly trying to improve himself and his Pokemon. He does have a reputation to uphold after all. A reputation that has earned him quite a bit of fame as a cool, heroic trainer who is among the best in the world. He is also expected to one day take over as the leader of the Dragon Clan, once his grandfather passes away. Something he also takes very seriously, and even sentimentally keeps the dragon fang, on his person, that was his reward for successfully completeing the Dragon User's Challenge. The man isn't without his quirks though, and he's well known in Celadon for his cape fetish. He goes there periodically to buy identical capes from the department store. Lance can also come across as pretty imposing and intimidating if he wants to, which can be backed up by the fact that he trains giant dragons. While mostly serious and mild mannered, he does come from a clan of dragon masters. Lance has a long fuse, but when its gone, watch out. He's got a flaming temper to match his red hair, with a ferocity to match any dragon. Yet he also has a bit of a sensitive side, one that he hides very well. Being a celebrity is rather lonely after all. He's also quite friendly and personable to those he likes. He'll speak up when he feels he needs to, but back off when it's clear his opinion is not needed.

Strengths:

Pokemon:

Lance comes with three Pokemon, a Dragonite, Charizard, and Aerodactyl.
Dragonite: This is his strongest, best, and most favored Pokemon. While he actually has three, this particular individual is the one he's trained since he was a boy. Dragonite are pseudo-legendaries, and are among the most powerful Pokemon aside from the legendary Pokemon. His Dragonites attacks are Draco Meter, Fire Punch, Safeguard, and Hyper Beam.
Charizard: Perhaps his most difficult Pokemon he has ever trained. Charizard is highly aggressive and listens to only Lance. His attacks are Dragon Claw, Air Slash, Flamethrower, and Hyper Beam.
Aerodactyl: One of Lance's oldest Pokemon, literally. Aerodactyl are prehistoric Pokemon and are insanely rare, resurrected from fossils even. It's attacks are Thunder Fang, Rock Slide, Aerial Ace, and Crunch.

Physical: Lance is a physically fit individual, he has to be to keep up with large dangerous Dragon type Pokemon. He also comes from a culture with strong Asian influence, and as such, is trained in some martial arts. He's decently strong, but is around that of an average human male at his age. Physically he's not really spectacular other than being the tall, dark, and handsome mysterious type.

Mental: He's smart and cunning, again he has to be to keep up with large dangerous Dragon type Pokemon. He was considered a prodigy in the field of Pokemon training when he was young, and is thus rather gifted in handling them. The fact that he's manage to rise to the rank of Champion is more than enough proof of that. However, it wasn't just raw talent, but also hard work and dedication that got him there. He is a very focused individual, and is quite wise and capable of making intelligent decisions. He can also be described as fearless and couragous, as not just anyone would simply barge into the hideout of a well known criminal organization and defeat them. The man has got guts, and will stand his ground even against a raging Gyarados or roaring Charizard. He trains both of them, after all. As shown by his investigation of Lake Rage, Lance is also an observant individual who can figure things out pretty well given enough information. He also has good leadership skills, as he's lead the elite four for several years now and partipates in running the Indigo League.

Emotional: Lance is generally secure in himself and rather confident in his own abilities and those of his Pokemon. He isn't one to get stressed out easily, and is able to act with a level head in most situations. He acts with his heart as much as he does with his head, making him a balanced individual. Thus he isn't the type to act impulsively or recklessly, in most cases.

Weaknesses:

Pokemon: While very strong, Lance's Pokemon have some notable weaknesses. Most of his dragon are doubly weak to one type or another. His Dragonite is doubly weak to ice attacks and is also weak to rock and dragon attacks, and doesn't do well in the cold. His Charizard, is doubly weak to rock type attacks and has a singular weakness for water and electricity as well. Charizard does not do water at all. Aerodactyl is weak to water, steel, electric and ice attacks.

Physical: Lance has no special powers, and is by most definitions, an average human male. While he is fit and strong, he isn't much of a fighter. His martial arts are only for self defense. His Pokemon are the ones that typically do the fighting for him. Without his Pokemon, he's fairly vulnerable and can be overpowered by someone stronger than him rather easily.

Mental: Living in a dominantly peaceful world, Lance's knowledge doesn't stretch far into dealing with most things of a violent nature. Wars are pretty much beyond his comprehension, and would genuinely shock him to hear of large scale human atrocities. You could say that he is a bit naive, but coming from a world of Pokemon, most are. The worst threats they have are things like Team Rocket and legendary Pokemon going beserk. Lance's talents and education focuses mostly around Pokemon training and leading people. He has a general education, but is not well versed in much of anything else.

Emotional: Even a man like Lance has skeletons in the closet. His parents death has affected him more than he would care to admit. He has difficulty getting genuinely close to people. Not so much because he doesn't want to, but his position makes it very difficult. When you're a famous celebrity, it's hard to distinguinsh between true friends and suck ups. Lance is generally married to his work, and focuses on his duties as a trainer and champion more than relationships with people. As such, the few romantic relationships he's had didn't last very long. He also still struggles with things in his past. They say old habits die hard, and Lance still has to fight his arrogant tendencies. Sometimes he'll come across as a show off or know it all when he's really not meaning to.

First Person:

[As Lance watched Silver train, he couldn't help a small smile.]

"Hey, you're doing much better, Silver. I can see that you're really improving. You and your Pokemon have come a long way since the last time I saw you. I can tell that your Pokemon even like you better. There is still some room for improvement, though. While they feel more comfortable with you, just remember that there's more to it than just training. They are intelligent creatures with thoughts and feelings, just like you and I. It's getting to know those thoughts and feelings that separates a true master from a regular trainer. If you really want to become a great trainer, you have to understand them on an intimate level. To the point that you don't even need to tell them what to do. Once you have that level of understanding, that trust, they will know what to do even before you ask it. Not only that, but you will have a bond with them that will be truly unbreakable. Do you interact with them much outside of training?"

Third Person:

Lance cringed and had to brace himself as the earth shook beneath him from Dragonite's impact. The large dragon Pokemon had sustained a heavy hit, and was now pulling itself back to it's feet, looking battered. However, neither of them were about to give up, trainer and Pokemon being practically of one mind as they both fixed their opponent with an even but determined stare. Eyes of gold narrowed as Lance then thrust out his hand, signaling Dragonite to take to the air again. Tiny wings flapping as the Pokemon lifted himself off the ground, the resulting draft causing Lance's cape to billow and flap majestically. Dragonite was weak, near the end of his rope, and thus Lance knew he had to make this hit count.

"Dragonite, use Hyper Beam!" Lance's projected voice carrying even into the heights where Dragonite hovered. The Pokemon having known that's what Lance would order of him. Inhaling deeply, the dragon opened his large blunt maw, where amber light gathered into a small, concentrated orb. This continued for a few seconds until Dragonite released the collected energy in the form of a powerful blast that shot across the expanse between him and the other Pokemon. So powerful was the attack that it roared through the air, and eventually slammed into it's target.

Once it was done, the dragon huffed in exhaustion and slowly lowered itself to touch down on the ground once more. No matter how many times that attack was executed, it always took a lot out of the Pokemon, to the point that it had to stop and recharge for a few minutes.

"Hang in there," Lance said with quiet reassurance to his winded companion, but he actually knew that it was over. Dragonite was spent at this point, and it was just a matter of time, waiting for the finishing blow. That finishing blow came soon enough, and the Pokemon fall with a heavy thud. Lance kneeled next to him, placing a hand on the fainted Pokemon's yellow scaly skin. "You did well, my friend," and with that he was returned to his Pokeball in a flash of light.
